Just last month AdMob had big news as it announced that it was doing away with minimum bids and was moving toward an AdWords-style auction. I suspect that was just step 1 in a full AdMob-AdWords integration.
Here at LW we recently received news that on March 12th our AdMob campaigns will be migrated to our AdWords account! We are so excited to be able to use the AdWords platform for all our AdMob traffic.
With this move, we'll have access to the full suite of AdWords tools and reporting, which far surpass the current AdMob platform. The ability to view reporting at the app and site level will have a huge impact on our campaign optimizations and will allow for increased performance. We also expect to see our clicks becoming more valuable, as accidental clicks are eliminated by the 'double qualifying' process used for text ads in apps on the Google Advertising Network. If all goes well, we'll be able to significantly increase spend and volume towards AdMob traffic.
